check out our newest segment and maybe learn a thing or two~
Been a busy boy here lately! Went to Philadelphia to shoot the photos for the new Princeton Tec catalog which was a really fun gig. The boys from there were great to work with and all love ripping outdoors too! Stay tuned for the final product on that...After that did a shoot with Jason Lalla, a ripping rider and skier who does it all with one regular leg and one bionic prosthetic leg. absolutely inspiring, amazing and humbling experience all in one to say the least.
Been doing some real cool shoots for Indigenous Board Shop as well and their local riders. You can check some of those out, and others over on Flickr.
Shot this weekend with a crew of sick pro and sponsored mountain bikers like Kyle Ebbett, Dane Berke, Clint Mcmahon, Knight Ide and others to use in our new media project, Mocean365. The crew was going off and had a killer couple days riding and filming.
Finishing up the website soon for Mocean365 and it will be sick to say the least! Check out the blog and bookmark it under your favorites cuz its gonna be one of your FAVORITES!
Lining up a shoot for Jumeau Bags which will be a fashion style shoot with some models that i've been able to pick myself so that should be a fun project as well. Looking forward to doing some more fashion photography to mix things up and learn more!
That all for now...more soon!
Skye is stoked to be amongst some great company and be featured in this months F_stop gear's Nature and Landscape newsletter. His old friend Anne Skidmore was also featured. If you haven't yet, check out the best adventure photo and video gear bags in the business. Druid and the crew are doing a great job over there!

PerpetualMocean's official mtn, the Highland Mountain Bike Park has been working on making major changes to the awesome, Ne Style trail. The trail's weakness was a set of four tables that required precise speed control or carnage occurred! here's a blog post from Mark over at HMBP about the new changes! can't wait to get there and rip the new improved NE Style.
If you want to check out a great park for all ability DH/park riding, then put Highland is your place!
Before moving on to new trails we decided to make a much needed change to NE Style. The makeover will be ready next weekend, August 16th and 17th.

The makeover starts after the big left berm about 1/2 way down NE Style

This used to be a hip now it's a table.

After the table you will have 2 options: 1. Berm right into new NE Style line or 2. Break away from the line and head straight to Killicrankie. The first new table sits in the background.

2nd new table

After the 2nd new table there's a left hand berm

then a 3rd new table

Table number 4 out of the woods, into the open,

and into the 2nd right hand berm.

The excavator gets ready to help build more tables

and the 2nd left hand berm.

More tables will go here prior to the exit and

the 3rd right berm will tie back into the existing NE Style trail.
The plan is to have this new section ready to ride by next weekend, August 16th and 17th.
This is a great blog by rad woman out in Montana who has become a bud while filming for PSIA over the winter. A former figure skater and mom of two, she now has a goal of making it to the PSIA demo team and judging by the short time i've known her, will not be denied!
check it out and be careful if you do decide to ski o ride in the shower!

Mother Nature was almost the spoiler coming into this weekend's
inaugural event called the Highland Claymore Challenge at our home
mountain, Highland Mountain Bike Park.
Torrential rains, high winds and even tornadoes touched down 10 miles
from the course coming into the weekend so there were questions if the
event was even going to happen. Course designer Dave Smutok and crew
did their homework though and in true HMBP fashion, pulled it all off
to the delight of hundreds of spectators gathered to watch the contest.
The Red Bull title
sponsored course ,was an absolute marvel in trail and stunt building.
Huge stepdowns, hips, massive doubles, a wooden quarter, 18 foot high
wallrides and even a "house" feature that riders could gap out onto and
trick off of made it so there was something for everyone.
Another rad part of the event is that it was one of two slopestyle
contests in North America that had a spot for the top non-international
competitor to qualify for a chance to compete Darren Berrecloth's
contest, "The Bearclaw Invitational, in Washington, BC.
Sinister Bikes was well represented with 3 of the four factory rippers slated to compete. Sasha Yakovleff
wasn't able to compete due to an injury but still came out to rip up
the course and check it out. He was the only rider hitting a cool
transfer on Friday in true "Yak Attack" style. Here's Yak flowing.
Knight Ide was
the first Sinister rider to compete in Saturday mornings Am class and
he absolutely killed it out there, riding smooth and stylish against
kids younger than his own son. He just wanted to ride the course, have
fun and represent his sponsors, which he did with class.
Derek Stevens came into the event without the amount of practice that everyone else had as he had been working like a madman. In practice and qualifying though, you would have never been able to tell as he was boosting, flipping and whipping like a freakin' madman in only the way D-Rock can. He was riding well and slaying the course when a spin from way up in the air went bad. He crashed to the ground from so far up and he wasn't getting up. He dislocated his knee and got taken out on a stretcher but still managed to come back later in the day to support his teammate and watch the finals go down, like a true warrior!
The final Sinister rider in the event was the one and only Dane Berke and
he did not disappoint.Dane is a Highland regular who always is ready to
throw down his "big mountain with an urban twist" style and in doing
so, made the finals! He beat out legends like George Ryan and Carter
Holland with his trademark Suicides and Supermans and Amplitude that
was killer to watch. To see Dane's name on that finals list could've
brought a tear to all of us in the Sinister Family. He blazed his two
runs in the finals much to the delight of the crowd!
Cam Macaul came out on top in the finals and Cape Cod local and former Sinister ripper Clinton Macmahon won the trip out to BC with a resounding fifth place after qualifying in first place! The whole mountain just went off and owner Mark Hayes was estactic with the overall success of the event. Some serious partying and celebrating was in order and Northfield NH stayed up late!
Clint throwing down!
Mark Hayes crowning winner Cam Macaul.
Top 5 Pro
1 - Cam McCaul
2 - Andrew Taylor
3 - Aaron Chase
4 - Phil Sundbaum
5 - Clint McMahon
Keep your eyes out for video and more photos from the event in the upcoming Mocean365 Tv show which is a collaboration of Veilleux Films, and PerpetualMocean. More pictures will be posted up on the PerpetualMocean SmugMug soon, so check back!
Thanks to everyone who made this a great event and can't wait for next year!

Red Bull must have a lot of money because it's now using some of the same technology as Google. Just in time for a pre-summer marketing blitz, Red Bull has partnered with Immersive Media to place a few of its impressive geodesic-shaped 360-degree cameras on the heads of their sponsored surfers. And despite the cool end result, they still look ridiculous and wildly uncomfortable.
The surfers put on 25 pounds of the gear, including the Dodeca 2360 Camera System, and captured 360-degree video that can be explored by the viewer like Google’s Street View. But instead of searching for the latest inappropriate Easter egg, you can get a pretty accurate idea of what top-notch surfing really feels like. Unfortunately, you won't get to experience the other highs of the surfer lifestyle in 360-degree views. You know, such as going to parties and dating Brazilian models.
The Dodeca 2360 Camera System is a camera system that takes in high-res video streams (at 2400x1200 pixels per frame, 30 frames per second), and captures the GPS coordinates of its motion. The camera can record for up to 3 hours at a time, which helps when the recording time sessions go over.
You can check out all of the surfing videos at the Red Bull Surfing website, and the enhanced video right below. Click on after the jump to check out more of the pictures.
The International go skateboarding day went off in St Johnsbury VT with the crew from Indigenous Board Shop throwing down an killer event. Scottie Raymond and his crew were stoked at the turnout and hope to do more events, many which will be raising money and awareness for the new skatepark they are currently fund raising for.
Took some shots of some of the action and put them up on the PerpetualMocean Smugmug account!
big ups to scotty, lew and josh at Indigenous and Kingdom Outdoors for laying it down tight!

Hold On Loosely Tour The Hold On Loosely Tour Shreds New England Glenwood, NJ- Aaron Chase, Chris Van Dine, Dave Smutok, Cam Zink and Adam Hauck are currently banching Harleys all over New England as they visit some of the East Coast’s top freeriding spots and hang out at the 85th Annual Laconia Rally and Race for the 1st Annual Hold on Loosely Tour. The Tour will be making numerous stops all over New England traveling via Harley motorcycles to some of the best riding spots on the east coast. “The Tour is all about having fun on 2 wheels” explains Chase. “There is no pressure, just good times.” They are joined by the crew from Matchstick Productions who will be shooting for an upcoming episode of Focused on Rush HD. The crew kicked off the tour this past Saturday with the 2nd Annual Peter Makris Memorial Bike and Boat Run where they rode Harleys around Lake Winnipesauke; Chase's old stomping grounds for 3 hours helping to raise money for the Laconia Fire Dept. From there the guys hopped on their motorcycles and made the trip an hour north to Attitash Mountain for some downhill. Attitash Mountain opened their doors and lifts to the guys, where they shredded some DH for 2 days. “The place is one of the best mountains I have ever ridden. There are no lift lines, and a ton of good trails; a couple which are worthy of a World Cup Downhill.” explains Zink. Chase grew up racing Dual Slalom and DH at Attiash and knew it would be the perfect stop for the tour. The next stop is a quick ride up the Mount Washington Auto Road then the tour takes a trip to Vermont’s North East Kingdom , a true privately owned mecca for freeriding and dirt jumping. On Thursday the crew will make their way to Highland Mountain in Northfield, NH for the grand finale, the Red Bull Dirt Pipe currently being built by Kyle Ebbett and Ted Tempany. “This is one of a kind design done by Aaron” explains Van Dine. “ Once we are done shooting on it Highland will open it to the public, so sick!” Highland Mountain will play host to the tour until Sunday. “ Highland has stepped it up this summer. The trails are so sick, they have the best jump park in the east, no one can touch them” explains Van Dine. The tour would like to invite the public to join them at Highland this weekend for some fun, campfires, riding and BBQ’s. Thank you to the tour supporters: Red Bull, Attitash Mountain , Highland Mountain , Northeast Kingdom , The Naswa Resort and Matchstick Productions. Continue to check online for updates, pictures and blogs from the guys.
